GovCIO has secured a potential five-year, $65 million contract from the Department of Veterans Affairs to provide information technology support services for VA’s Education Veteran Readiness and Employment Product Line.
The company said it will build, integrate, operate and sustain the department’s veteran readiness and employment applications and products through the adoption of DevSecOps and Agile practices to help streamline systems, facilitate data sharing between platforms and improve scalability.
Kristin Gill, president of veteran and enterprise technology sector at GovCIO, said the company’s understanding of VA’s IT environment and its team of skilled professionals will be key in advancing the goals of VR&E to provide veterans with the training, tools and resources they needed to transition from military to civilian employment and independent living.
The company said it will work with the software product management office within VA’s office of IT to support EVREPL under the department’s benefits and memorials services portfolio.
