BlueCart Acquires Revolution Ordering for Better Digital Management – PYMNTS.com

Hospitality order management platform BlueCart on Tuesday (July 19) announced that it has acquired Revolution Ordering, an off-premises partner for restaurants and hospitality companies, to create a unified digital ordering and order management system.
The new combination of BlueCart, BinWise, Revolution and SproutQR “offers hospitality and food businesses of all sizes an unparalleled opportunity to streamline ordering, improve profitability, reduce expenses, and enhance service,” the companies said in a press release.
The acquisition provides BlueCart clients and customers with a suite of digital tools for customizing menus, capturing orders, managing suppliers and automating inventory management. It also brings Revolution’s Order One, Ground Control and Connect platforms and its Google Food Ordering integration to BlueCart’s B2B eCommerce platform.
Both software platforms are supported by BinWise, BlueCart’s bar inventory software, and its inventory scanning app BinScan.
“As we continue to expand our platform features and operations, Revolution will have a huge impact on our next growth phase within middle and enterprise markets,” Konstantin Zvereff, CEO of BlueCart, said in the release.
The combined companies said they have handled more than $2 billion in sales through the eCommerce platform that serves more than 100,000 restaurant and hospitality locations, including Jason’s Deli and Long John Silver’s, and more than 10,000 wholesale distributors, including Fells Point Wholesale Meats, NOBL Cold Brew Coffees and Ocean Beauty Seafood.
“The food and hospitality industries are enormous and are going through a once-in-a-lifetime digital transformation,” said Brad Duea, CEO of Revolution. “BlueCart and Revolution share a vision to drive this digital transformation and leverage ordering technology and automation to serve their customers by simplifying work and helping them grow earnings through order optimization.”
BlueCart and Revolution are working together to add additional features to their partnership in the coming weeks.
Businesses are facing new challenges amid rising food and labor costs, and both restaurants and food delivery companies are exploring new platforms and opportunities, as PYMNTS recently reported.
