Alex women in business have been urged to take advantage of Huawei South Africa’s free training for the 2022 Women in Tech digital skills programme.
The programme is designed to produce tech-savvy women and provides free online training in cloud computing, digital marketing and leadership development in order to grow their businesses and give it an edge in the digital economy.
The programme targets SMMEs and seeks to help women advance their skills and use new technologies to grow, improve, and digitise their businesses, giving them an edge in the digital economy. This year, there are also prizes for the top three entrepreneurs who will be chosen at the end of the five-day online training.
The programme, which will close with an in-person networking opportunity at Huawei’s office park in Woodmead, will have Dr Jude Clark, clinical psychologist, facilitator, executive coach and renowned practitioner in the area of gender and development in South Africa and abroad, deliver the leadership course while Pumza Mthethwa, a strategic commercial director at BrandTies, will take the entrepreneurs through the latest trends in digital marketing.
The programme is open to all women entrepreneurs, and who will be selected on criteria including their readiness to adopt new technologies into their business.
