These past years have been uniquely difficult. The confluence of the COVID-19 pandemic, which resulted in financial uncertainty, have exposed the deepest cracks in society’s foundations and compelled us to marshal our strength and resilience.
“Although 2022 didn’t pan out to be an entirely COVID-free year like how we had hoped, it is but relieving that somehow, we had learned to navigate through the changes.
As we enter the third year of being in the pandemic, Greymouse is still driven in delivering services to our clients,” said Greymouse CEO Faiyaz Khan.
“Greymouse has demonstrated the ability to persevere, adapt and grow to fulfil a ‘better’ normal. We were able to determine what worked and what went wrong which eventually helped in acknowledging what action needs to be taken,” he said.
According to Mr Khan, Greymouse became more determined in knowing what strategy worked and how the team adapted to these changes without interrupting operations as well as the quality of services provided.
For nine years, Mr Khan has taken a major role in expanding and improving the overall operations in the company.
Being the CEO of a pioneering outsourcing company that continues to grow even after 17 years it was established, surely brought an overwhelming roller-coaster type of a journey filled with challenges, progress and success as well as cheers and happiness.
It takes great responsibility and accountability in paving a way for an achievable vision and destiny for a company.
Greymouse is our family
With the lockdown and strict health protocols taking effect, the team who were typically jam-packed with clients transitioned to working from home overnight— all these while maintaining the standard of the services and maintaining the close professional relationship with clients.
Mr Khan said Greymouse was able to deliver without any issue and continues to help businesses grow and succeed by covering crucial business processes like customer service, bookkeeping, marketing and sales, back-office support and more.
He has also taken the initiative to update and adjust the action plan to the current condition— enclosed in the “Business Continuity Plan” would be how the operations will be taken care of in every situation.
Even with the sudden changes due to the ‘new normal, the plan covers continuous and uninterrupted service to clients while working at home and in the office whenever possible. Greymouse has always placed its determination by fulfilling its purpose to alleviate poverty through transformational employment.
“In a time of exceptional strain for businesses, it has been gratifying to see the team take it upon themselves to serve those businesses in deep need of assistance.
By answering calls 24/7 for the clients to bookkeeping services, creating websites and more. Our team is motivated to use their skills to make a difference,” he stated.
Mr Khan said he owed it all to the culture built around the standard of service Greymouse delivered as well as the commitment and enthusiasm of the team at work.
“These are what makes working at Greymouse the best part for me,” Mr Khan stated.
“The team has become a family. Seeing them work and help pull each other up makes my work all the lighter. To me, it is also very important that I get to help them grow by sharing my knowledge and experience. Greymouse has We stand tall as we have gained confidence from building our knowledge, skills, expertise, and experience – Faiyaz Khan always worked as a team, and this moves me.”
According to Mr Khan, “We are tackling the crisis head-on as we grow our capabilities to deliver the best outsourcing solutions that will help our clients do the same. Greymouse will continue to make markets and create opportunities to grow allianceenabled business solutions, focusing on offerings that businesses will need in this new era— outsourcing service— while continuing to deliver the full breadth and depth of our outsourcing model that Greymouse clients depend upon.”
As Greymouse navigates and embraces all things new, they will do so knowing that they have so much to be grateful for and proud of:
• We are grateful for our team whose heroic efforts have kept our client’s businesses running and clients served during the pandemic
• We are thankful for the non Greymouse people who have supported us.
• We are humbled by the generosity of our clients who continue to support us.
• We are proud of the “can-do” attitude of our team who collaborated in ways not seen before, to meet the changing needs of our clients
• We are grateful to have finally taken work from home when needed.
• We are grateful to our front lines.
Despite the many unknowns that the future holds, according to Mr Khan, we are filled with hope as we turn the calendar and start the year 2022 — hundred per cent of our Fiji team members are back in the office, ensuring that our efforts to provide a safe workplace is possible are functioning well while our team in the Philippines is 30 per cent back in the office.
“We will carry on with the service markdown for the new clients for we know that the weight of this pandemic will continue to test all businesses, including Greymouse but the future is ours to shape. We stand tall as we have gained confidence from building our knowledge, skills, expertise, and experience,” said Mr Khan.
As Greymouse is focused on growing and helping create a change and making an impact through transformational employment opportunities, Mr Khan shows support in all these through actively engaging in business development strategies to reach out to more potential clients.
“This 2022, we continue looking to provide better opportunities for the team and help more clients.
“It’s fulfilling to be able to assist the team that will eventually benefit the company on its growth and success,” Mr Khan shared.
When asked about the best career advice he would like to impart to the team, he says “Always enjoy what you are doing and make good choices with regards to it accordingly”.
What we’ve learned about the Greymouse these past years is that with scale comes strength.
