Premier League football club West Ham United has announced an extension of its partnership with its official legal supplier, Paul Robinson Solicitors.
Since the partnership’s inception in 2018, the London and Essex-based law firm has provided legal services to the club and the local community. Under terms of the new agreement, Paul Robinson Solicitors will continue to support both West Ham United’s men’s and women’s teams.
The full-service law firm’s London office is based in Stratford, on the doorstep of West Ham’s London Stadium.
West Ham United Chief Commercial Officer, Nathan Thompson, said, “As a community-focused football club, we are delighted to continue and expand our partnership with Paul Robinson Solicitors. They offer a vital service to the club and our community. They also share our values and place community at the heart of what they do.”
UK-based creative, digital and social agency in sponsorship and sport Fifty Digital has been appointed to work with the United Rugby Championship (URC) on its social media output.
Fifty Digital will be responsible for strategically elevating URC’s social media presence with bespoke, platform-specific content across Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, Facebook and YouTube, with a focus on growing URC channels in its target demographics and markets.
Nick Jackman, Co-Founder of Fifty Digital, said, “It was a no-brainer for us when the opportunity arose to work with the URC, such a fresh and exciting brand on the global rugby scene. We’re looking to expand our portfolio of clients in rugby and URC are a real feather in our cap as we take that forwards. We can’t wait to make the most of the incredible rugby coming up in the playoffs and build for the future.”
The URC is a 16-strong rugby union league for the best club rugby teams from Ireland, Wales, Scotland, Italy and South Africa. It’s second season kicks off on 16th September.
Global integrated marketing agency CSM Sport & Entertainment (CSM) has entered a into a new partnership with World Netball that will see the agency lead on sponsorship sales for the upcoming Netball World Cup in 2023.
CSM’s role will be to identify and secure a broad range of partners for the 60-game tournament, which takes place from 28th July to 6th August in Cape Town, South Africa and will feature 16 teams from across the world.
Clare Briegal, CEO of World Netball, commented, “We are delighted to be partnering with CSM, to build on the success of previous editions of the Netball World Cup and to help us develop strong and lasting commercial partnerships.  We worked closely with CSM on our new commercial strategy, marketing strategy and rebrand, and we know we can rely on them to help achieve our commercial goals for this tournament.”
Sports management company Sporting Group International is growing its presence in the sports commercial partnerships, talent management and recruitment sector by opening a new office in Dublin to lead its European operations. 
Currently operating from United Kingdom offices in Birmingham and in New Delhi, India, the Sporting Group International expansion comes soon after it recently brokered six front of shirt commercial partnerships for top tier football clubs in leagues across Europe.
The Dublin office is currently led by Group Chief Executive Adrian Wright. He commented, “With the business supporting several global brands and multiple top tier football clubs across the European leagues, it’s essential that we expand our presence across the continent.
“The Dublin office is our first expansion since the development of the office in India six years ago, but we have big ambitions to expand into other markets and to develop the Sporting Group International work around the world.” 
Extreme wellness platform Spartan UK and Spartan Austria have announced mobile accessories brand Spigen as its new official accessories partner.  
The partnership will see the brand activate and produce content at both the Zell Am See-Kaprun, Austria in September and the London South East & European Championships in October.
Emily leRoux, Director of Global Partnerships at Spartan, commented, “We want everyone to be inspired to get outdoors with friends, family, dogs or simply alone. We are delighted to welcome Spigen to the Spartan family where in the UK and Austria, Spigen will be providing the accessories to capture the best moments.”
The Football Association (FA) has appointed Joanna Manning-Cooper as its new Director of Marketing, Communications and Public Affairs.
Manning-Cooper joins from Sky, where she has spent three years as its Group Director of Corporate Affairs.
Sky Sports has appointed Anna Kessel as its Executive Director of Development.
Kessel will look to drive the broadcaster’s plans to engage more fans across platforms, build an inclusive culture, and become part of the Sky Sports senior leadership team.
Kessel said, “I am delighted to be joining Sky Sports as Executive Director for Development, in a new role working across women and men’s sport. At a time when sport increasingly seeks to reflect the world we live in, I am excited by Sky Sports’ vision for the future which feels bold and innovative, placing value on new audiences and ideas.”
