It’s official! Chelsea’s app – The 5th Stand – has been downloaded over 10 million times across the world!
The app, which launched in July 2018, aimed to bring Chelsea supporters closer to the club than ever before with a range of exciting new features, exclusive interviews and digital content all available on your phone.
Since its debut three years ago, Blues fans around the globe have been able to watch exclusive digital content with The 5th Stand the place to go to keep updated on a matchday via the Match Centre.
Chelsea also broke new boundaries with the app as we became the first Premier League club to offer fans Match Chat, a number of exclusive first interviews with managers and players, and even the chance to ‘Go Live’ with David Luiz and Olivier Giroud on their very own exclusive show!
Each season Chelsea has pushed itself to introduce pioneering brave moves to keep the digital platform evolving and give our fans more opportunities to watch live games, reward our fans for their loyalty with digital collectables, connect directly with Thomas Tuchel, Emma Hayes and N’Golo Kante through our ‘Ask Me Anything’ series.
Most recently fans have been given exclusive behind-the-scenes access to our second Champions League win with ‘Porto Uncovered’, and there are more prizes to win than ever before through Play Predictor for the men’s and women’s game.
The result means more people are heading to The 5th Stand for their Chelsea news than ever before with over 100 million visits so far this season – a nine per cent increase on the same stage last season, and 362 million pageviews – a 40 per cent increase on the same stage last season.
